Stitch Fix #14- Prints and Colors and Summer, Oh My!

I am 100% guilty of sneaking a peek of my Stitch Fix every time the email comes through saying "Your Fix is on its Way". I always get excited to see what is going to show up on my front door a few days later because its such a fun surprise. This month I had requested some pieces for work and the ever so popular anorak jacket (love!). It was a Fix full of amazing prints, bright colors, and Summer trends.

My stylist does such a great job at paying attention to my Pinterest board and all of my requests. She never fails at putting together a fabulous Fix! Unfortunately for this Fix I was on a bit of a budget with all the house decorating, which really stunk because I loved all of the pieces. Geez, Stitch Fix is always making decisions so difficult!

Before we get started on May's Fix I am sharing my 3 easy steps to get your first Stitch Fix - if you have any questions feel free to ask!

1. Stylist Notes- This is the most important part of Stitch Fix because this is how you communicate with your stylist. I always tell my stylist about any upcoming events I have or specific items I am wanting to try. Pinterest is another great way to show your stylist what items you may be interested in.

2. Order Your First Fix- You can order your Stitch Fix every week, every month, or every year! Just fill out when and how often you would like your Fix delivered. For each Fix there is a $20 Styling Fee but you can use that $20 as a credit towards any purchase. So I recommend keeping at least one item or you are essentially throwing away $20, and nobody wants to do that!

3. Decisions, Decisions... - Now you have your Stitch Fix and you are dying to see what is inside. What 5 exciting pieces are in that box? My tip is try it all on because you may fall in love after all! Trust me, I have done this plenty of times. You have 3 days to choose what to keep and send back. The items you want to return are placed in the (included) pre-labeled UPS bag and put in your mailbox. All that's left is to login to your account to tell your stylist what you kept or returned and why.

Feel free to Pin any of these images for your stylist. Let's get started on May's Stitch Fix!

Brixon Ivy Fallon V Neck Dress (Returned) : This was no easy dress to return! I loved this dress and all of its fun colors but it was a little too big. The length was perfect because it was work appropriate, but unfortunately I had nothing to fill in the top portion of this dress. It was very loose on the top and the alterations would have been kind of expensive. I am already missing this Brixon Ivy dress!

Market & Spruce Chaplin Hooded Anorak Cargo Jacket (Kept): I don't know why I waited so long to request this piece! From the moment I took it out of the box I was in love. This piece is a great staple and the perfect casual jacket, which I happened to be missing in my closet. I see this jacket getting plenty of wear and I am obsessed with the olive color!

Collective Concepts Maila 3/4 Sleeve Blouse (Returned): Why do I have to be on a budget right now? I loved this blouse and all of it's fun prints! Unfortunately with it's $74 price tag I just couldn't justify keeping it, especially when I own a similar blouse. The braided trim on the front almost convinced me but sadly it went back.

Dolce Vita Jasymn Lace-Up Gladiator Sandal (Returned) : I have slightly chubby feet that just don't want to work with this gladiator trend. These sandals were oh-so-cute and comfortable but my poor feet were just hanging over the sides. I know shoes stretch with time but I couldn't take the risk.

Doe & Rae Wesley Lace Dress (Returned): If you are looking for the perfect dress for weddings or events this is it! I love the modest neckline, lace sleeves, and navy chiffon material. The length hit right above my knees which was perfect, especially when wearing heels. So why did I send it back? Right now I have a handful of event dresses, both for weddings and work events,  so I knew this dress wouldn't get the love it deserved.

Overall Stitch Fix #14 was amazing and full of pieces that were perfect for me. If it hadn't been for all the redecorating around the house it would have probably been a 3 for 5 on this Fix. It's amazing how with each Stitch Fix it just keeps getting better and more personalized with every delivery.

In case you missed Stitch #13- The Trendy One!

  2. Check out Old Navy for some copycat shoes. I have wide feet also and have an almost identical pair from Old Navy.
