Stitch Fix #13- The Trendy One

The best part of Stitch Fix is that no two Fixes are ever the same! Month to month is always a surprise and I love it when my box is filled with trendy pieces. My stylist, Lauren, is always picking out the best options and usually items I would never pick out for myself. I love that it pushes me a little out of my comfort zone and makes me try things I usually wouldn't. When I sneaked a peek via the Stitch Fix App I was so excited for this month's Fix.

I lucked out because my Fix delivered two days early and it was the perfect ending to a Monday. As usual, within ten minutes of being home I was already trying on each piece. I had been dying to try the off the shoulder looks and the shoes were too fun not to throw on. This Fix was definitely my trendiest yet and full of fun pieces.

Before we get started on April's Fix I am sharing my 3 easy steps to get your first Stitch Fix - if you have any questions feel free to ask!

1. Stylist Notes- This is the most important part of Stitch Fix because this is how you communicate with your stylist. I always tell my stylist about any upcoming events I have or specific items I am wanting to try. Pinterest is another great way to show your stylist what items you may be interested in.

2. Order Your First Fix- You can order your Stitch Fix every week, every month, or every year! Just fill out when and how often you would like your Fix delivered. For each Fix there is a $20 Styling Fee but you can use that $20 as a credit towards any purchase. So I recommend keeping at least one item or you are essentially throwing away $20, and nobody wants to do that!

3. Decisions, Decisions... - Now you have your Stitch Fix and you are dying to see what is inside. What 5 exciting pieces are in that box? My tip is try it all on because you may fall in love after all! Trust me, I have done this plenty of times. You have 3 days to choose what to keep and send back. The items you want to return are placed in the (included) pre-labeled UPS bag and put in your mailbox. All that's left is to login to your account to tell your stylist what you kept or returned and why.

Feel free to Pin any of these images for your stylist. This month I have a pieces I am undecided on so let me know your thoughts in the comments. Let's get started on April's Stitch Fix!

RD Style Vierra Off Shoulder Dress (Returned): I sat on the fence for awhile about this dress because I love the color and the trim on the ruffle. There was something about this dress that I just didn't love. I  tried it with a belt and several different necklaces, but I just didn't see myself wearing it because it was slightly boxy. Unfortunately it went back but I wouldn't mind seeing a little more red in my Fixes.

Collective Concepts Janel V-Neck Shirt Dress (Returned): I am always requesting easy to wear dresses for work. I originally pinned this Collective Concepts dress on Pinterest but they were out of my size. My stylist sent me this dress instead and I thought for sure it would be a winner. Unfortunately it was a little big and low cut for work so back it went.

Splendid Carly Strappy Sandals (Returned): I am really wanting to rock the super strappy sandal look but I think it's time to throw in the towel. As much as I loved this pair of sandals they just weren't going to work. This was partly due to my chubby feet hanging over the sides and because they weren't very comfortable. In the pictures they look so cute but I know that they would just collect dust in the closet.

Alice Blue Ilaria Crochet Tunic (Kept): When I first saw this tunic via my Stitch Fix App I did not think it would be a winner. I would usually never pick this out for myself but with Stitch Fix it breaks me out of my comfort zone. From the embroidery details to the bell sleeves to the crochet around the elbows this tunic screams perfection. You will definitely see me wearing this piece all year long!

Collective Concepts Hajar Off The Shoulder Top (Returned): I thought for sure this top would be a winner because it is easy to wear and oh so cute. The only problem was that the off shoulder hem fell at the weirdest spot and kept slipping back onto my shoulders. Also it was a little shorter than I usually prefer for a blouse.  Maybe I needed a size up but I think it would've been too baggy then. I really wish this piece would have worked!

That's the end and while I only kept one piece I know that Stitch Fix #14 will be amazing. Next time I am going to be a little more detailed in my notes to my stylist, because I am desperate for some Summer work dresses and shorts to. I love the details that my stylist puts into each Fix and I can't wait to see what's in store!

In case you missed Stitch Fix #12- It Just Keeps Getting Better!
