Stitch Fix #10 - New Year, New Fix

I am now in the double digits of my Stitch Fix life. It's safe to say that I fell in love quickly! With 2016 already in full speed Stitch Fix is going to be a life saver in keeping me stylish. My stylist Lauren does an amazing job at looking at my Pinterest board which is key to communication with her. Plus I feel like we are total style souls because she nails it every Fix! She is traveling through Europe right now and still managed to put together a fabulous, and quite stylish, Fix.

For this Fix I had pinned a few outfits that I was inspired by and asked my Stylist to work her magic. I did specifically ask for a pair of leather leggings because they are so hot right now! This Fix is completely different than any of my other Fixes because I wasn't so specific beforehand. It's amazing when I let myself be surprised that my stylist always impresses me. I am trying to freshen up my wardrobe this year and add some fun pieces. I can't wait to share my style evolution with you all!

Before we get started on January's Fix I am sharing my 3 easy steps to get your first Stitch Fix - if you have any questions feel free to ask!

1. Stylist Notes- This is the most important part of Stitch Fix because this is how you communicate with your stylist. I always tell my stylist about any upcoming events I have or specific items I am wanting to try. Pinterest is another great way to show your stylist what items you may be interested in.

2. Order Your First Fix- You can order your Stitch Fix every week, every month, or every year! Just fill out when and how often you would like your Fix delivered. For each Fix there is a $20 Styling Fee but you can use that $20 as a credit towards any purchase. So I recommend keeping at least one item or you are essentially throwing away $20, and nobody wants to do that!

3. Decisions, Decisions... - Now you have your Stitch Fix and you are dying to see what is inside. What 5 exciting pieces are in that box? My tip is try it all on because you may fall in love after! Trust me I have done this plenty of times. You have 3 days to choose what to keep and send back. The items you want to return are placed in the included pre-labeled UPS bag and put in your mailbox. All that's left is to login to your account to tell your stylist what you kept or returned and why.

Let's get started on January's Stitch Fix ! Feel free to Pin any of these images for your stylist.

THML Justin Fringe Cowl Neck Sweater (Kept): So I sneak peeked at my Fix via the Stitch Fix App. As soon as I saw this sweater I knew it was a keeper. I usually am not a fan of winter whites due to winter paleness, but you can't go wrong with a little fringe in your life. I love that it's longer with extra length over my front and bum areas making it the perfect match for leggings.

The Shirt Sumnac Button Down Top (Returned) : This is usually not my style at all but I was kind of digging it. It took me forever to style this piece because I am just not use to a button up. It was a very crisp fabric which I was a little unsure of and bit on the tailored size. After trying this top on a gazillion times I decided to return it. If it had been a little bit softer and slightly larger it could've made a cute button up. So hint to stylist I am looking for a more boyfriend style a.k.a comfy a.k.a lazy but easy to wear.

Skies are Blue Collarless Wool Coat (Kept): I was a little hesitant about this keeper but after trying it on with like 20 different outfits it made its way into my closet. The collarless feature was a bit out of my comfort zone but the camel color is beautiful. Like I said earlier 2016 is going to be about style evolution and here is my starting point. Stitch Fix you always know how to shake up my closet!

RD Style Marelena Dress (Returned) : Why can't this dress cover my butt? I loved this dress so much and did not want to take it off because it was so soft and comfortable. The big problem was that it was way too short in the back. The loose style and stretchy material were the best part, but with just the slightest movement my whole backside was showing. Unfortunately I learned this with a bit of wind during the picture taking. So off went the dress and a little piece of my heart with it, but if you are on the petite side I would be begging my stylist for this dress.

Jeanne Faux Leather Fleece Lined Legging (Returned) : So I kinda felt like Gisele in these but without the six pack and Tom Brady as my husband part. I mean these leggings had some serious hotness to them! The only problem is that I am not quite sure where I would wear them. I specifically asked my stylist for these but once rocking them for pictures I determined they just aren't for me. Unfortunately channeling my inner supermodel via leather leggings were not for me!

I think it's safe to say this was my most stylish Fix yet! From leather leggings to fringed sweaters my stylist continues to broaden my horizon in terms of style. Who thought I would ever be digging a button up shirt either? I already have a few ideas for February's Stitch Fix and I am anxiously counting down the days until it arrives.

Have you tried Stitch Fix yet? If not, I am not sure what you are waiting for. This is the best start to a new and stylish year for 2016.

  1. How tall are you? I love that dress but have a hard time with lengths too, I'm 5'8.

    1. Ah thanks I loved the leggings but nowhere to wear them. I am 5'6 and it was too short in the back which stunk because I loved the dress. It was a small to.

  3. I liked everything on you! The leggings were great but not worth keeping if you wouldn't wear them.

  4. Well, I kind of want to ask my stylist for everything you just got in your stitch (Doesn't matter what I'd look like in them because you rock all of the pieces and I want to look just like you!) :)

I understand about the leggings. But I think you should FIND somewhere to wear them because they look great on you!

I found your blog by reading the reviews on the Stitch Fix website. I like it! :)
