Stitch Fix #4- July

It's safe to say that I have mixed feelings on this Stitch Fix. Don't get me wrong everything they sent was really cute but not me per say. In my notes to my stylist I had asked for white jeans or shorts and some colorful items for summer. Unfortunately everything I received was black or blue with a tan clutch. I guess my stylist was trying to say something with all the black and blue?

Although it's safe to say when I saw that beautiful Stitch Fix sitting on my front door step I was so excited. My inner 5 year old had opened my Fix within 2 minutes of being home! Like usual I tried everything on and did not rule anything out until doing so. The magic of Stitch Fix is that they can send items that may be out of your comfort zone, and since you have it you usually try it on. The old saying goes don't knock it until you try it.

Are you curious about Stitch Fix? Try it out, you have nothing to lose. I am sharing the three easy steps to get started and some helpful tips I have found recently.

1. Stylist Notes- This is the most important part of Stitch Fix because this is how you communicate with your stylist. I have been pretty specific in my notes but maybe a little too specific (I thank my Type A personality for this-sorry stylist). I may need to be a little broader in my notes and say things like: " I am looking for some summer shorts" versus " I am looking for white shorts". Also, I had a great stylist in Fix #3 and want to keep her as my stylist. After a little research I learned that you have to request the same stylist.

2. Order Your First Fix- You can order your Stitch Fix every week, every month, or every year! Just fill out when and how often you would like your Fix delivered. For each Fix there is a $20 Styling Fee but you can use that $20 as a credit towards any purchase. So I recommend keeping at least one item or you are essentially throwing away $20, and ain't nobody wanting to do that!

3. Decisions, Decisions... - Now you have your Stitch Fix and you are dying to see what is inside. What 5 exciting pieces are in there for me? My tip is try it all on because you may fall in love after! Trust me I have done this plenty of times. You have 3 days to choose what to keep and send back. The items you want to return are placed in the pre-labeled UPS bag and put in your mailbox. All that's left is to login to your account to tell your stylist what you kept or returned and why.

If you have any questions, let me know. So let's get started on June's Stitch Fix! Feel free to Pin any of these images for your stylist.

1. 41Hawthorn Walt Skirt (Returned)- To be honest I was very wishy washy on whether to keep this skirt. I loved the stripes and it fit like a glove. So why did I return it? The whole fit like a glove thing would have me adjusting this baby all day. I only saw myself wearing this skirt for work and it may have been a little too snug to do so. Sorry Walt Skirt maybe next time!

2. Skies are Blue Coney Camisole Top (Returned)- I absolutely loved the fit of this camisole top, but was not a fan of the print. The top print was cute but the bottom just took a dive into Grandma's wallpaper collection. The floral print was not for me unfortunately. I will definitely be asking for this camisole again but in a different print.

3. Street Level Gibson Striped Wristlet Clutch (Returned)- This wristlet clutch was so-so but a little too big for me. I may ask for no more clutches moving  forward, because it may be me and not Stitch Fix. I also like a solid color for my handbags because I like them to be versatile since I do not change bags out very much.

4. Pixley Yuli Lace Cap Sleeve Blouse (Kept)- I saw this top in my Fix and thought I would definitely be returning it. I mean seriously my whole closet is black already so another black blouse? After I tried it on I fell in love! It fit perfectly and it was tailored with princess seams which are extremely flattering. It included a black silk camisole so that made it a two for one deal, justifies another black blouse right?

5. THML Samford Petal Sleeve Top (Returned)- This love at first sight quickly fizzled thanks to the petal sleeve tops. Oh why must you have petal sleeves? I loved the embroidered blue design and the vertical stripes. This piece would have been great for all seasons to. Back to the petal sleeves though, because unfortunately this detail made me look a little broad.
