Margarita Perfection

I have a strong love for all Margaritas and would say that it's definitely my drink of choice. While I would like to say I am a Margarita connoisseur that would be lying... until now! I have been working on perfecting my Margarita recipe forever and  I have found the right concoction. We tested it out for Fajita Fiesta/ World Cup game get together! A little ironic to serve Mexican while watching the American women play but it worked and it was #6 on My Summer Bucket List.

Just a few tips but I use silver tequila because I think it is much smoother. Also, I started using Santa Cruz Pure Lime Juice versus fresh lime juice. This isn't due to taste or anything, but because it's much easier. You could call this the lazy girl margarita if you wanted to. Another note  if you are going to make margaritas don't forget the cute glasses- because when life gives you limes!

Recipe- Yields One Pitcher serves 6-8

1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1-1/4 cup Santa Cruz Pure Lime Juice
1 -1/2 cup silver tequila, chilled
1 cup Orange Liqueur, chilled
Lime Wedges

1. In a sauce pan, heat up sugar and water until sugar is completely dissolved. You have now made simple syrup! Place this in your pitcher until cool.
2.  After the simple syrup has cooled pour the Santa Cruz Pure Lime Juice into your pitcher.
3. Add the good stuff next - pour the Tequila and Orange Liqueur into your pitcher.
4. Give everything a good stir! Optional but I like to throw my limes in the pitcher for a little infusion.
5. To prepare your glasses rub the lime wedge around the rim of your cup. Pour salt onto a plate and then dip your rimmed glass into the salt.
6. Optional but put ice into your glass then pour the Margarita in!
7. Garnish your Margarita with a lime or see other fun garnishes below. Voila! Sip, sip, enjoy.

Optional Garnishes:
Sliced Jalapenos
Sprig of Rosemary
Orange Slice
