Smith Spring Break Round Up

A family vacation was way overdue! There is nothing more that the Smith clan loves than a tropical, fun packed adventure. So why not get a little taste for all the islands and hop onboard the Carnival Dream? It was the perfect 7 day get away with something to entertain everyone.

We boarded the cruise in my favorite city New Orleans and Bon Voyage Y'all! Of course we had to begin Smith Spring Break with their signature "The Fun Ship" drink.

Monday night was Formal Night so pictures at sunset were a must. Trying to take pictures is summarized above. The high winds were at full speed that evening and my curls did not want to behave, so basically every picture looks like this. Dinner was followed by the Sing Along Piano Bar where we were given a pink inflatable microphone, for the safety of others, and had a cocktail or 7.

After spending two days at sea, Jamaica was a sight to see. Seriously it was a beautiful island and I will be making it a point to visit again! We went to YS Falls to climb the waterfalls and ziplined in the midst of the rain forest. I treated you all to a little video of my graceful rope jump skills too. This was definitely my favorite excursion!

Next was Grand Cayman which was a beach day on the infamous 7 Mile Beach. The water was so blue and clear, plus it was not crowded at all except the roaming chickens. We laid out next to the coolest little shack all day with yummy grilled fish sandwiches and fresh mango juice. The day was topped off with a trip to Margaritaville  where a blender full of Margarita/ Land Shark became a necessity.

Our last day at port was in Cozumel, and that is my favorite port hands down. I have a love for all things Mexican- refried beans, margaritas, Taco Bell, queso... you get the point. Today's agenda included a catamaran/ snorkel/ beach adventure with free margaritas/cervezas topped off with a tequila shot congo line. The reef was so pretty and there were tons of fish swimming around the coral that morning, but the beach full of inflatables and paddle boards was the best part. Release my inner 10 year old! And when in Mexico you find a tower of Margaritas to finish off the day you take advantage.

The last day was at sea and there was no agenda which was way a perfect way to end vacation.  Laying by the pool and soaking up the sun is what the doctor called for.

Cheers to Smith Spring Break-with margaritas of course!
