Being 26 on a Weekend

You know if you had asked me 5 years ago what I would be doing this weekend it probably wouldn't have been as um... calm... as it was. You know but there is something to be said about being 26 on the weekend. I may have lost my cool factor but I am totally content with a lame weekend.

Because 5 years ago I would've been at Auburn wrapping up my junior year as finals approached. I would need to study but my logic was that drink specials ended by 8PM so I could get up early to study. Although once drink specials concluded the night usually ended up at Sky Bar until with the usual Taco Bell run around 2AM. Point being live it up young people.

Fast forward five years and here is a recap of my weekend- prepare to be amazed:

Friday night we got really wild! T decided to prepare a meal of Italian Chicken Sausage Stuffed Portabellas. The messier the dish the yummier it is-hence the picture below. Then we decided to take it to the next level and catch up on Walking Dead with a virgin screwdriver in my hand.

T and I had our first yard sale on Saturday-yes 26 going on 86. I will say it was participation for the neighborhood yard sale. A lot of hassling was done but we still walked away with $88. I was even more amazed that cleaning out my closet actually got me somewhere!

After a hard day's work I treated myself to a yummy margarita and Mexican food. Isn't that the way to any girl's heart? Cinco de Mayo came early this year! We met our friends for dinner and they brought a special dinner date who got a little thirsty, but no margarita for this wild man.

Sunday consisted of house cleaning and grocery shopping. And oh yeah the best part we FINALLY picked up my office furniture! I can't wait to share my new office with y'all.

The crazy thing is this weekend was pure bliss. I was excited to be home for a weekend and be productive. Who knew that I'd be so content at 26? It's crazy how far life can take you in such a short amount of time.
